Missed period and CM

Hi ladies. My hubby and I are ttc #1, and I know next to nothing about all this. Haha

AF was supposed to happen today, but nothing yet. But my CM is white, creamy, thick and there is quite a bit of it. It felt like a started my period, got the same sensation down there that I would if AF came, but it was just CM. Could that be an early pregnancy symptom, or just my period being late?
