My hubby is on it, he has pretty severe anxiety and also some temper issues. He's a whole different person on it, always happy and mellow, even more thoughtful in our relationship like doing things for me and just being a sweetheart for no reason. But if he forgets to take it, he is an absolute grump. So I recommend if you can remember to take it every single day around the same time! He experienced no side effects except for lasting longer in bed 🙈😁 he's also had issues with his weight all his life and it hasn't done any harm to his diet, he is still losing weight at the same pace he was before.

It really helped mh moods. I had energy again, I did more things. I was happy for the first time in a long time. (Pills don't give you suicidal thoughts, you already have them. They just give the oomph and motivation to carry out.) This happened to me so I got off of it so I wouldn't do something I regretted. They are very strong pills, try and get a low dosage like I did at the start. 10 mg I believe is what I had.

My mother in law uses a natural herb called rhodiolia and  I tried it for my anxiety and depression and for mine it has helped a lot. If you want to try they sell it at sprouts

Zoloft gave me the most miserable side effects out of any of the medications I have taken. I took it for two years, the last year was sort of off and on. The first year I gained 60+, my suicidal thoughts increased, I was completely numb and couldn't feel anything. It was a horrendous experience. Though I wouldn't recommend it, everybody is different and what could work for somebody may not work at all for somebody else. Unfortunately like birth control, antidepressants are kind of trial and error. You have to sometimes try a lot to find the one that works well with you.

Zoloft made me sick every time I took it in the morning, so I switched to taking it at night and it made me dizzy and jittery. I hated it. But everyone's experience with medications is different.
