Wrong Gender?

How likely is it to be told the wrong gender at 20 weeks? We were told a girl and I'm so excited but I'm afraid they're not always correct? Has anyone been told the wrong gender at 20 weeks?

I would say it's like 90% because more and more I've been hearing stories of being told one gender but it being the other.

It's possible but normally at 20 weeks it is very clear what baby is.

I was about 18 1/2 weeks when I was told a girl..... I was told that I had no reason whatsoever to question her (I was told by my doctor and his nurse) because she had been doing her job for a very long time and she put it in her report that I was having a girl... So I said okay, I'm having a girl. Well, they couldn't be any more wrong.... At 35 weeks, when I went in for my first NST and US and the nurse asked me what we were having. I told her we were having a girl. You should have seen the crazy look she gave us.. She said no, we are having a boy. She even had 2 other nurses come in to double and triple check. Yup. We now have an almost 2 year old little boy. If you don't feel your gender is correct, wait another couple months and get another one done.

It's always possible for them to make a mistake. With the help of the 3D ultrasounds now it's a lot easier to find it earlier. I don't personally know anyone this has happened to in the last few years. 25+ years ago they told my mom I was a boy and i came out a girl lol

My friend was told boy at 3 seperate scans and she had a girl 😳 i think she is the only person i know though x
