My husband and I "pulled the goalie" so to speak about one year ago and expected to get pregnant right away. After all, in high school sex Ed we learned of you have sex, you'll get pregnant. It didn't work that way for us. I went to get checked out at the obgyn in my area who was new to me since we had just bought a house. To say that she made me feel baren is an understatement. About three months ago I finally found an obgyn that I liked, who diagnosed me with pcos and started me on metformin 500mg 1x daily and letrozole 2.5 mg day 5-9. The first round we had no luck, my 21 day blood work revealed basically no rise in progesterone. I decided to kick it up a notch in my diet and exercise as I had read weight loss can help PCOS women. The next cycle the office called and my levels sky rocketed, I had definitely O'ed! Fast forward past the two week wait and several pregnancy tests and blood tests late, we are pregnant!!
