Question about trigger shot?

We just got the go to do the trigger shot tonight. We were told to do the shot at 10:00pm and that we can have sex before or after the shot. Which is better to do? Also if we do the shot, how long after we do the shot should we wait to have sex?

For my IUIs I've taken the trigger shot precisely 36 hrs before insemination. And insemination is directly into the uterus.

I would have sex just before and appx 12 hrs after shot. The more the better 😉 It takes sperm a while to get into uterus and fallopian tubes, so good to have it there when ovulation happens. Also sperm can live for a couple of days inside.
