Breastfeeding moms...question ??

To all you moms that are planning on breast-feeding are you still taking bottles with you in your diaper bag just in case to the hospital?

Nope. I plan on breastfeeding and pumping, but the breastfeeding class I went to said not to introduce a bottle until breastfeeding is well established.

Not bringing a bottle. Breastfeeding (sometimes) takes a lot of work to establish between you and baby. When it gets frustrating (and sometimes it does), it's best not to have the temptation to give up and default to a bottle.

In the hospital, they will be able to help you if you need it. They have pumps and bottles, so if they become necessary, they will be made available to you. I just personally choose not to tempt myself with giving up - my breasts will work the way they're intended to for this baby, just like with the first two.

Don't give up!

I am taking one bottle. I know my hospital will provide them also just in case

I'm not planning on taking one. My hospital's policy is that if you're planning on breastfeeding, they won't offer your baby anything else unless it becomes medically necessary. At that point they would use the little bottles of pre-mixed formula.

I brought a pump but didn't need it. I didn't bring bottles.

My little guy came a little early and I didn't bring any of my pump stuff. I had trouble with one side and they provided a pump machine to borrow and a bag of parts so I got extra stuff for my pump at home! They gave me a syringe with a tube to feed him with my pumped milk.

I did just incase because I was induced ans wasn't sure if my milk would come in thankfully it did :)! But regaurdless the hospital should provide some.
