How long after birth should I wait to travel by air with baby?

My hubby isn't gonna be here for baby's birth which breaks both our hearts and god knows when his visa process is gonna be finished. I don't want him to miss a lot of time being away from the baby, so I wanna surprise him by going to him and taking the baby.  how long do you think I should wait before traveling on an airplane after birth ? I was thinking to wait a month , and it's a 20+ hour flight .. What do you think?
