I'm 38 weeks and 6 days and at my doctors appointment yesterday there were no signs of change. My doctor said I'm 100% effaced, but my cervix is completely closed. She has also limited my travel and said to be ready at any moment because in many cases like mine when the cervix is closed, but I'm 100% effaced, dilation can occur quickly if it does on its own. She also said that if I don't go into labor on my own by my next appointment and I'm still not dilated -so sweeping of the membrane is out of the question - then we will set the induction date.
