Becoming a SAHM

I recently went back to work after having my baby. Before going on maternity leave I was really dissatisfied with my job for a variety of reasons but it had good benefits and paid pretty well. Now that I've had my baby it's so much harder to put up with the BS. If I liked my job I'd feel better leaving my baby at daycare but its so hard considering I hate my job and I was already miserable at it before. I'd like to quit and spend some time at home with the baby. But I'm nervous about cutting our income like that. Pretaxes, I make $45k and my husband makes $56k. Did anyone with similar incomes quit to become a SAHM? How did you adjust financially? What expenses did you cut? Are you happy with your decision?
