Why are those diseases still here in America? What causes polio? What causes chicken pox?

What is hepatitis and why are there different kinds a,b,c

Why are the mumps, measles and rubella around?

What are these illnesses we vaccinate against and why haven't they gone away?

Obviously you can catch it if someone has it gives them to you but how did the virus exist how did they catch it?

Why are there so many diseases.
