Hydrosalpinx tube was removed -IUI or IVF next?

Question

I had a damaged right tube hydrosalpinx and it was removed last week. I have my left tube still and the doctor said I can try naturally with the one tube, Iui or go strait to ivf. I've read if one tube is damaged with hydrosalpinx the other tube is possibly not great either, but the doctor kept my left tube. Do you think I should go strait to IVF if it wil be a waste of money to do rounds of IUI with only one tube?

Does your insurance cover fertility treatments? I found out ours does and we have met our deductible so we are 80/20 (ins. Paying 80% we pay 20%) we are on our 2nd iui (currently at the TWW mark) and each iui is $300 for us. Not counting meds, and all the tests . I would say try a few iui rounds if you can . It's a lot cheaper than IVF , however ivf has a much higher probability rate . Whatever you choose , good luck to you! Lots of women conceive with one tube btw , you are not at all out of the game yet ! :)
