Just started trying at 38

Good morning.. Just started trying at almost 39 and so nervous that I may have waited too long. I'm in my TWW now, with AF due on Friday. Tested yesterday and got a BFN. Not testing today.. Not feeling preg... Though I've never been preg, so who knows. Had an IUD for 5 years. Prior to that, I had seriously symptomatic PMS.  Breast tenderness has always been my major AF symptom, so I can't use that as a gauge.  Very emotional, but that's also normal. I'm guessing that when (if?) I do get preg, I won't have any unusual signs. It's funny, I don't feel obsessed about retesting before Friday, like I thought I would.  Just sad... Which is rediculous, I know!
