Cervical checking!?

Has anyone started getting checked!?!? I have an appointment next week and they are going to start checking my cervix!!! I'M SO EXCITED!!!

36wks today and had my check up today..my first cervical check also I'm 1cm & 60% effaced dr could feel her head and my cervix is very soft. So we will see😊

I will start mine at my 36 week appt next week. Was hoping my Dr would do it at my appt today as I have been contracting, lots of pressure and turns out baby's estimated weight is already 7.2 lbs and measuring at 39 weeks . Yikes!

Nothing during this pregnancy has like excited me I've been in too much pain to be exciting but the cervix check I am nervous / excited for ....heard it's painful sometimes which that doesn't bother me I'm in pain any damn ways and I'm excited to see how far I'm dilating I'm just scared that if I'm not dilating at all it's just going to disappoint me and put me into a depression and that's the last thing I need right now

I had my 35 week appointment this past Monday and my doctor checked me. But only because last weekend, my Braxton hicks contractions were so close I thought I was going into labor. I was 1cm dilated and my daughter's head is very low. So I'm hoping for continued progression!

I was checked at 35+3 weeks when my OB did my Strep B cultures - 1cm and 70% effaced & she was able to feel baby's head! Crossing my fingers that we keep progressing quickly as my back/pubic pain is killing me.
