14 days late & BFN?! HELP.

I have irregular periods and usually get them somewhere at the middle/end of each month. I do get them monthly. But I didn't receive one last month. I took a pregnancy test today and it came up negative. I was crushed because I really thought I was pregnant. Could I have tested too early still? It always sucks trying to guess when I should test because of my irregular cycles.anyone have a clue what could be the reason it hasn't come?
