Getting rid of baby fat!?

So I'm a little nervous about gaining too much weight while pregnant and not being able to get my body back. Idk of any of you girls are with with a man like this but my husband has always liked me being skinny and said that if I ever got fat than he will divorce me... He's always saying you better not get fat. I'm barely 93 pounds and he already thinks I'm getting fat. He understand gaining weight while pregnant but wants me to get rid of the fat after I have the baby...I need advice!!!😭😭😭

What an ass for putting you through that kind of stress. I would never be with someone who threatened me like that. If you constantly worry about gaining weight while you're pregnant you will be miserable and the stress is unhealthy for the baby. What will he do if you get stretch marks from having his baby?? Divorce you? Lol... What a little boy. My man loved every inch of me even when I gained 30lbs from having his children and he stuck around after I got fat and then when I lost all the weight and he was there cheering me on the whole time. Your man is a douche bag.

Ummmmm your husband sounds like a tool sorry he is suppose to love you UNCONDITIONALLY NO MATTER WHAT!!! Second you are gonna gain weight bc you are creating a life that needs plenty of nutrients and if he's not ok with that maybe he should really think about how pregnancy works. It takes nine months to make a baby so it will take time to get your body back still even then you may not be the same bc of stretch marks mom bod is something to be proud of not afraid of.

How much does he weigh? I know a good way to at least lose 150 because my guess would be he is more than that, leave his sorry ass. No woman should ever be told that by a man that claims to "love" you.

I donno..I know a lot of the women on here are probably going to hate me for saying this buuuut, I don't think it's an awful, nasty mean request. I think the way he phrases it is shitty for sure though. You shouldn't feel *pressured* ever to stay in shape because of your partner's wishes or expectations--it should be something you're dedicated to doing because YOU want to.

I think if we are bluntly honest, we all have an ideal image of what we want our mate to look like. If my fiancé went and gained a huge amount of weight and made no effort to lose it, I would be bothered and not as sexually attracted to him as I once was. He keeps himself in shape ..not a body builder or overboard..he has a "Dad-bod" as he likes to call it and I'm not perfect either...but I don't think it's an unrealistic expectation from him that I at least make an effort to lose whatever extra weight I gain after I have this baby.

If he went overboard with guilting me or was overly critical when I was making an effort, I'd definitely tell him to fuck right off with no hesitation..but knowing he wants me to stay healthy and within a normal BMI is good for me and helps keep me on track.

Maybe you need to share your concerns w your SO and really explain how his words are bothering you..my guy thought he was being "helpful" about nagging me about exercising when in reality I thought he was being critical and a jerk. Not eating an extra helping, skipping bad food choices and pushing myself to exercise because I want to keep my partner happy isn't a bad thing to me at least. He certainly does a lot of stuff he doesn't have to or want to do to make me happy so it seems the same to me...

I suggest you privately talking to your ob/midwife about this. Let her know his demands and your concerns and see if she can bring up the topic of weight gain and how it is a healthy part of pregnancy at the next visit you are at with your husband. Sometimes people need to hear something from a professional to realize that they are being demanding and are wrong in their thinking. I think you should also keep in mind that his comments to you are not acceptable. I believe we all want our spouses to remain looking the way they did when you decided to be together (within reason! We all age and gain weight) but to threaten divorce if you get fat while pregnant or while not pregnant for that matter is completely wrong.
