Scary day yesterday π
So the original plan for yesterday was to go to my normal appointment at 9 am and then come home and do some house chores like laundry and take care of the animals.. Yeah I guess my body had other plans. I went into my doctors appointment yesterday and was immediately told thereafter that my blood pressure was a little high and they found trace protein in my urine. I'm 35+5 today (yay) but it was still kind of stressful hearing "you need to go to the hospital to be monitored right after this appointment." I've been having severe swelling and blood pressure spikes (random) for the last 2 weeks now. Got to the hospital around 10:15 yesterday morning and was hooked all up and monitored until about 4:15 in the afternoon when I was told I needed to come to a different hospital that deals with high risk situations because the fluid around the baby was a tad low and my blood pressure kept spiking and then going back to normal. Around 5:30 I arrived at a different hospital where they did more ultrasounds and determined the baby was fine and I didn't have anything to really worry about there but again, I was severely swollen and my blood pressure continued to spike. I was admitted overnight (reluctantly of course) and was told with everything going on, the doctor would feel safe delivering me at or around 37 weeks, 38 weeks the most as long as my blood pressure stays the way it is. Obviously if it spikes and stays up, I'd be delivering sooner. FTM, so ready to meet our son, but it's been a scary day/night filled with a lot of information and scenarios and emotions! Guess I'm preeclamptic now! Just praying baby cooks a little longer and he comes out healthy as can be!
