How did he propose?

Christmas eve 2014. We agreed to exchange one gift, so he went to get his and I went to get in the shower. A couple minutes into the shower, and the curtain flies open.. I turn around and he is in his knees asking me to be his wife. 😂😂😂 here I am naked and covered with soap, crying like a baby. I knew about the ring, but he didn't know that I knew. But he definitely surprised me. We got married on August 7, 2015, conceived 5 months later 😍 he sure is a unique one. So how about you ladies, how did he propose?

We won tickets to Obama's first inauguration. He proposed at the inauguration! We are both very politically active and it was amazing!

We had been dating for about two years when we were finally able to fly to SC from CO for him to meet my parents. On the flight back, somewhere over Virginia, I hear him say my name over the loud speaker. I peeked my head into the aisle and he did the "come here" thing with his finger. I got up to the front, he got down on one knee and gave the sweetest speech I think I have ever heard. All of which was still over the loud speaker. Then the flight attendant held the phone up to me so the plane could hear me basically freaking yell yes. Everyone clapped and cheered as we walked back to our seats, the captain congratulated us over the loud speaker and told us we were at 25,000 feet, going 500mph and it was his 25th wedding anniversary. We were 25 years old! That's a lot of 25! Once we got onto the tarmac and were waiting for our carry ons to be unloaded(it was a puddle hopper with no overhead space), everyone came up to us to congratulate us. Then, the pilot let us take a picture in the cockpit. The best part is, I almost ruined it. He had planned this with the captain and flight attendant at the start of the flight. He had tried to get up sooner, but the fasten seatbelt light was on and I wouldn't let him get up. Right after, he said something I didn't catch to the flight attendant because I was so absorbed in my book. Turns out, he told her I wouldn't let him get up, and she had to have the captaim turn off the light so he could get up! Lmao! Oops! Safety first, everyone. We've now been married over a year, and expecting our little girl on 9/22 :)

Christmas eve 2013. He knows I love Christmas and lights and our community park has a huge light display and he hand made this sign and talked to the people that ran the light and had this put up in the display on Christmas eve and drove me through the lights that night and we came across the sign and when I looked at him he was holding the ring! The sweetest most precious thing I had ever seen and had done for me. Definitely a surprise he had very well thought about and planned every detail. He even had my family there waiting so they could be part of it. 💗💓

New Years Eve 2012 at a huge party at a dance club. We were on the dance floor and at exactly midnight when all the confetti and balloons were falling he asked me. One of the happiest days of my life and I am constantly reminded of how blessed I am to be his wife.

You guys stories are so sweet! Mine just looked at me while playing a computer game and says "so, you wanna get married?" I was thrown, but said yes. We hadn't planned on getting married at all, ever. This will be our 3rd child (one born before we were married, one on our 6 month anniversary, 3rd due 9/19).

We were in Cabo for vacation and he set up a photo shoot. He proposed at the end and I had no idea. It was the best ever. He had a four course meal set up with a butler on the beach for us after the shoot. We went back to our hotel room and rose petals were all over the room. It was great! He's not romantic at all so it was a complete surprise.

When I was pregnant with my first daughter I was obsessed with Reeses peanut butter cups. So on my birthday my husband gave me a pack that felt really heavy.. I opened it and there was a ring in it 😂 no clue how he got the package resealed. I was already kind of expecting him to propose but I thought the way he did it was cute lol.

I actually proposed to my hubby. We're both Christians and we weren't moving in together or consummating our relationship until we were married so he had a joke where he said he'd propose until my 40th birthday (I was 27 at the time) and we would only get married beforehand of I proposed to him (which he said I never have courage to do). I had read somewhere that February 29th was the only day of the year where women could propose to men and if the man declined, he'd have bad luck until the next leap year. So thankfully it was a leap year, I bought him a ring (we had gone ring shopping earlier) and sure enough on the evening of February 29th, at the gym (I'm a fitness instructor and he's a bodybuilder) I got down on one knee and proposed. He was so upset that i actually did that (from looking like "less of a man" in public). Two weeks later, I was very sick so he came over with soup and roses. The roses were all red, except one white rose to which he tied my ring to. When I opened the roses I noticed the ring instantly and he got down on one knee. According to him, his proposal is the one that truly counts ;) We'll be induced between Aug 26th and Sept 8th and we'll be celebrating our 5 year anniversary on Sept 10th.
