Contractions.. Maybe

Im 39 weeks. For over an hour ive been feeling excruciating back pain that lasts for almost a minute then comes back abt 5 mins later. Then the pain starts in my stomach. My water hasnt broke but i did noticed that when i used the bathroom there was blood in the toilet but not enough when i wipe. Are these contractions? I just dont want to run to the hospital and they send me home.
