Bleeding and 6 weeks pregnant

Just wanted to know if anyone else has had vaginal bleeding In early pregnancy, I've had two babies already and never experienced bleeding in pregnancy with either of them. I have had light bleeding for 2 weeks which the midwife said it is normal in some women and is normally just the body getting used to the pregnancy with the growth and stretching, but I have just been to the toilet and my bleeding has become worse it had become more red and heavier, I've had no tissue loss or and sever pains but I've had a dull achy feeling on my right side (not low abdomen) has anyone else had this and is there anything I should do ?
