Birth plan??

So I go to the doctor next week and he's going to start talking to me about my birth plan. I am a FTM so I have no idea what I would want. I know things don't always go as planned but is there anyone willing to share all or parts of their birth plan? 😇

I am a FTM as well. So far my my plan is to get an epidural, be open to having a c-section if need be and to have only myself and my fiancé in the birthing room. My next appt will be the 'birthing plan' appt also. Good luck mama!

Birth plans are a nice guideline but are rarely  followed completely. My main things are 1) labor at home as long as possible, 2) no Pitocin induction unless 100% medically required, 3) no IV pain drugs, 4) try natural as long as possible, 5) sign anesthesia consent early so I don't have to worry later on if I choose an epidural.
That's about it. We'll see what actually happens

There are sample birthing plans on Pinterest. You can choose what you do and don't want. But they might be helpful for things you haven't thought about.

I am going to be including delayed cord clamping and using pain medication other than an epidural (especially if I go into labor naturally - if I have to be induced like I was with my first, I will be more likely to get an epidural). Also, I do not plan on breast feeding so I can restart anxiety/depression medication.  Good luck!!
