Birth control after baby??

Question

So I'm due with my first in early november and I'm starting to think about what kinds birth control I can use. However, I'm terrified of them causing infertility in the future. I was interested in the copper IUD but have heard some scary horror stories about them. Has anyone had it without complications? And how has your fertility been since removing it? (If you have).

i haven't removed mine yet but the doctor said that my fertility wont change after i have it removed. i havent had any complications with it.

Idk how fertile you are, but I got pregnant with the Paragard IUD.. after having it for three years. Monthly and annual checks were fine and was having unprotected sex with my SO the whole time. Now idk which to use once I'm done breastfeeding 😕

As long as you work with a good doc and they don't force the copper IUD in, it is pretty safe and easy.  Just remove a couple months before you want to conceive again.
