Why?!

I know I'll get hate for this, but...

Why can't we, as women, when reading something we don't agree with just say "well that's your opinion, it isn't one I share but you're entitled to your belief/view" and just get on with our day?!

For this being an app for support, we are tragically poor at supporting each other. You don't need to agree with someone to support them and you certainly don't need to name call.

Babies are babies, they have the same basic needs and we are all on a journey to fulfill them, we all just take different paths.

Several things...there are 3 apps for this community, so not everyone is raising babies here. Also, this particular room is controversy corner, created specifically for debates & disagreements. If you're only interested in support, which is completely fine, I recomend deleting CC. However, CC doesn't give anyone a free pass to be an asshole, so there's that.

I'm guessing you're talking about the breastfeeding post where you got so offended because a bunch of us called someone out for being obnoxious? And the reason we jumped all over that ignorant woman is because she literally compared breastfeeding mothers to porn stars. And that being the case, I feel absolutely no need to allow her to spout off her idiotic opinion regarding MY body. You want to be rude and insulting and frankly, stupid, fine, but you'd best be prepared for the consequences.

It's not about the fact that we're women. It's about the fact that we're human. Even the earliest documented history shows that humans thrive on controversy. When people don't agree with your convictions many can just say whatever and move on but when their convictions are as strong as yours then they are more likely to protect their own beliefs by tearing yours down. It's unfortunate but it's called human nature. Nature, human or otherwise, isn't always pretty but it exists for a reason. Jmo.

People can have their opinions, but if it's a hateful/ignorant opinion I will correct it. If it's just a harmless incorrect opinion I will leave them to it (unless they ask otherwise) but I will NEVER sit by and read people being hateful, ever. If you know it's hateful and don't care then be prepared for people to tell you your an ass, otherwise keep your hate behind closed doors where nobody can pick you up on it. The only thing for hate to succeed is for good people to do nothing, I apply that to everything.

It's like texting... You don't know the other persons tone when they write either. I have a graduate degree in law and politics. When I see something political that is not based in fact or it's based on wrong facts.... I tell them. Not to be mean but properly educate someone on the political workings of our world. Learning and the exchange of knowledge is wisdom. Opposing view challenge our beliefs and force us to truest evaluate them. There's nothing wrong with that. As long as you're willing to learn and have an open mind. And not to be mean..... But the world is filled with all kinds. Some people will always be nasty
