During pregnancy vs after pregnancy - has your hair been falling out or growing like crazy?

Mine is growing and getting thick, I'm 14 weeks with obvious sprouts of hair growing in. I thought this was normal but when I've told this to a few preggo friends and even my mom - I've gotten an overwhelming 'no, hair falls out during pregnancy and grows back in after you have the baby'
I beg to differ! What about you?

My hair starts to break off around month 5 or so postpartum. It's always the sides and I end up looking like I have man sideburns. It's awful. But if always grows back.

Some people grow hair, some people lose hair. Just like how some people get morning sickness and some people don't
