Stress test. Need help

Okay so I had my 29 week appt yesterday and I really don't have too big of a bump. I've gained 10 pounds started at 124 now 134 and I'm 5'6. My doctor measured my uterus and I measured right at 29 weeks then she did an ultrasound and baby was measuring at 31. But nowwwww she wants me to do a growth ultrasound and biweekly stress tests til the ultrasound comes back. If all is ok I stop the stress tests. The baby is kicking like crazy, heart beat is good, weight everything , she just thinks I should have a bigger bump. I'm for sure going to do the growth scan but nothing is covered by insurance. Do you guys think I should wait on the stress tests til I get results back from the scan? Seems like money just out the window even tho I know it's important to make sure baby is okay but from all measurements seems like he's fine. Need advice
