Do you work in Customer Service?

I'm a supervisor at a hotel and spend much time standing in one spot, I also spend a lot of time dealing with moody and flat out rude people. They've been traveling all day, I get it, but damn. By the time I get off work I am sooo mentally and physically exhausted. At 31 weeks pregnant, people have made me cry by just rolling their eyes at me. I've also been cussed at plenty and it's so hard to keep it together. Somedays the easiest way to protect my emotions is to be really stern and not my normal empathetic self. I try but it's hard. It makes me feel bad because my good customer service is what got me in my postion to start with. It's so hard to be nice and apologetic to a grown man throwing his hands around and cussing about me not having a reservation for him when I should. Just had a guy cuss me out about his room and the fact that his shirts he forgot here the last time were now wrinkled and not pressed like he had left them. He came back and apologized but it was still hard to be nice to him after that. Ugh. Thanks for the rant, glow community ✌🏽️Also wanna add that this does make me super appreciative of the nice people and my returning guests that always ask me how my precious baby is doing!
