Anyone from New Jersey?

I'd like some recommendations for fun things to do there. Or just your thoughts on New Jersey in general (**please only respond if you live or have lived in NJ**).

I will be moving there with my husband in a few months and wanted to hear about the nicer side of Jersey from you guys instead of the negative image it has garnered from shit reality TV shows.

I'd love to hear about Farmers Markets, gardens, bakeries, brunch places, flea markets, beaches, used bookstores... haha I sound like I'm 90. I'm 29.

P.S. - Hubby collects action figures like One Piece, Naruto, and Dragonball Z. Are there any anime conventions or stores where we might be able to go browse? Or any toy/ action figure museums or expos in the NJ / NY area?

What part of Jersey are you moving to? I lived in NJ for 30 years.. I can ramble off a few places, but nj has a lot of stuff..

In Columbus NJ there's a nice flea market on Thursdays and weekends. There's also one on weekends in Englishtown.

NJ is pretty big, are you moving to north, central or south jersey?

North jersey has a lot of cute towns that hold farmers markets and events on weekends. There are lots of expos held at the Met Life stadium.
