To much affection ?

So I grew up in a pretty broken family , alcoholic dad who abused me not sexually just hit me and stuff .
Well my children also have a broken home as in parents separated , but I'm a really affectionate person by nature and I shower my kids in kisses and cuddles always telling them how much I love them , recently I was told I do it way to much :-/ really is there even a to much with showing your children you love them ?

I don't think so! ESP while they are little and will let you hug and kiss them...eventually they will be teenagers and not want to be hugged and kissed, ESP in front of friends. Lol.
My parents were married for 27 years before splitting, and my mom was a stay at home mom, even homeschooled us for years...both of my parents were always there, however they weren't overly affectionate, and I RARELY heard my dad say "I love you". It wasn't until I was about 19-23 that I dated someone and became close with his family that I realized families tell each other they love them. Several years have passed since I dated that guy (I'm 28 now), but I picked up how his family spoke to each other and I always tell my family I love them. We hug...and have gotten that closeness that we never had when I was young.

So to make a long story short-I think you're doing the right thing! I have a three year old and a little girl Otw (36+4) and I shower my three year old with hugs, kisses, and affection. Do it, kids need that...what's the worst they can say when they grow up, "my mom hugged me too much"...

My husband and I have a happy home and are always showing our daughter love.  I see nothing wrong with it! ❤️💞💕

No! There is no such thing as showing too much affection. You show your kids that nurturing side a mother should have and then they learn how to be affectionate themselves as they get older which I think is a great thing. Your their mommy! They're yours, you brought them into this world and therefore no one is ever going to love them like you do, and they'll never forget how much you showed them your love for them. So screw who ever is telling you not to love your kids too much.. Ridiculous.

I show mine to much lol she is 2 and I randomly kiss and hold her she likes it she will sit there and let me love on her that's my baby even with a new baby sister coming I'm still gonna give her my love just as much but by then I'll have 2 babies to love all over ☺️
