Baby Registry Must Haves?

Any mommas or mommas to be out there have any good ideas for what I should put on my baby registry? I'm a first time mom and I'd like to hear about your favorite/most useful gifts and products with a newborn!  😊

I downloaded the baby's r us registry app and it's amazing. There is a checklist of the basic needs and you will find more things you didn't think about by searching products. I'm a first time mom too and it's helped me tremendously.

My life saver with 1st child were the night "gowns". When your body is trying to heal & you have to wake in the middle of the night to feed the baby, the last thing you feel like doing is fumbling with the buttons/snaps. The gowns have elastic around the bottom, so you just pull it around baby's feet & voila! Love them, always buy those for baby showers, & i plan to use them w/this baby again!!

A few different types of bottles just incase you don't want to or can't breastfeed and they prefer one brand to another a pacifier or 2 if you want to try to use them the smaller items baby may or may not like (rock n play, swing, bouncer or things of that nature) a Healthcare pack with finger nail clippers a nose sucker and things like that mainly just things you will immediately need I would say absolutely no clothes people are going to buy then whether you want them or not and a wiper warmer isn't necessary because when your out and change them you won't have it so why bother with one and can also dry out the wipes

Receiving blankets. We used them for everything: as blankets, under baby for diaper changes in public, burp cloths, clean up spills or spit up when in a rush or in public, cover baby on windy or sunny days, etc.

SwaddleMe blankets. My kiddo could NOT sleep without being swaddled. I recommend getting 1 and then if your baby doesn't like it, you aren't stuck with a million of them. But you can always buy more if you need them.

Sound machine. We used one until my daughter was 2 and she can sleep through anything. I swear I could vacuum that kid's room or tear down a wall and she'd sleep through it.

Boppy. We didn't just use it for breastfeeding. My baby liked to hang out in her's with us on the couch and as she got older it was her favorite napping pillow.

-Are you going to breastfeed? I recommend a boppy. So comfortable to use and you can use it for baby photos and propping baby up as they get older

-Formula feed? This is definitely a splurge item, but I recommend the baby brezza. It's like a k-cup machine but for babies.  You just press a button and it prepares the formula for you and at the right temperature.

-a solid baby carrier. I have a beco Gemini baby carrier. Get a good one that fits you perfect. I would spend the extra money to get a good one too.. does wonders for your back. you can be hands free to get things done while your baby naps in it or comes with you.

When I was registering on babies r us they had some helpful lists of what baby will need. I already knew some of the main and major items I'd need. But I hadn't thought of some of the simpler things.

Target registry and Amazon Baby Registry literally have lists of essentials and recommendations. I only made lists using those two methods and ended up getting essentials and much more for my baby shower! Plus, when you complete the Amazon Baby registry they send you a samples box full of really useful supplies and even a free Avent Bottle ($24) regularly.
