Nexplanon??

Question

So I recently had my twins and am looking into getting a long term birth control, with 2 newborns, getting pregnant is the last thing that I want!

For anyone who has nexplanon:
How do you like it? 
How are your periods? 
Did you have any side effects?

Any advice or experiences would be appreciated 😊😊😊

I had it for about 2 years, the first 6 months were fine because it didn't really change anything. Then I went two months without a period, but when my period came back it was terrible. I would seriously have 10 day periods & then I'd be off my period for about 6 days then back on my period for 8 days & so on. And it made my period 10x heavier then it had ever been and my cramps were so awful it felt like hips were being torn apart! That happened for about a year and I just couldn't take it anymore. But, it does effect everyone differently so it might not be bad for you. However; I would NEVER recommend it for anyone.

I got it put in about four months ago and absolutely love it!! I haven't had a period, which is great because mine are extremely heavy. And it's wonderful never having to worry about the pill!

My wife had this bc she never had a period she has had it out for 4 months and we are ttc still no luck she said that if she ever gets bc again it will be the nexplanon  bc it was easy didn't have to remember the pill everyday

I hated it! I bled for an entire year, I ALWAYS felt pregnant so I waisted so much money on tests. Major migraines, horrible mood all the time. My anger got worse and so did my depression. Got off of it a feel like a brand new person! I wouldn't recommend it, but everyone's body is different. GL!

I had it removed in 5 months. I gained 40 lbs and had severe migraines. My periods were just like they had always been. It doesn't effect everyone the same though so you can try it and see how it effects you or if it even does.

I hated it. Had 2.5yrs. I only had four "periods" but they were each at least 2 months long. Had to go to the Dr to get them to end. No sex drive. Moody as hell. Just awful.

I absolutely loved it. Barely ever had a period. Maybe spotting once a year. I had it for the full three years and then I got a new one and had or removed a year later to ttc

I liked it at first no periods for the 1st 6 months but I had just had a miscarrage, that could also be the reason for the delayed period but after that I got a really heavy period and then they were regular for awhile, by the end of the 1st year I was bleeding all the time and I had enough, I got it taken out and it scarred horribly. I have a hard time with birth control though, I've gotten pregnant on the depo twice and the second pregnancy was the miscarriage I had.

I had no side effects other than spotting, which went away with a three month course of the pill. Didn't bleed again for 2 years, my periods are now slowly returning, barely more than spotting and cramps are 100% easier to deal with. I occasionally get sore greats but nothing major. I love it, and when I get it out in a few months in getting another put straight in.

Following ... Seems 50/50 with everyone because hormones effect everyone differently .. But I also want to get it
