Going to e.r for a uti?

I don't really feel like waiting for whenever my doctors can schedule me in so would it be stupid to go to the ER for a possible uti? I just don't want it getting untreated or worse any longer if it is one

Go to a walk-in clinic. ERs are really expensive

It's going to cost more then just going to the doctor but you can if you want. Drinking lots of water and pure cranberry juice can help until you get into the doctor.

Don't waste the time waiting at an ER.
Cranberry juice / cranberry pills (cheap!) and will do the trick in about 2 days - may seem long but you'll get a regular prescription from a dr and it'll take the same time I'm sure.

Stay hydrated because you will pee a lot, but also don't hold it! If you feel the urge, go asap!

I feel like if you called your doctor about a UTI, theyd try to get you in relatively fast :/ but if that isn't the case, and all other options are out of the question, then an ER visit might be the reasonable thing to do. Letting a UTI just sit to fester in your body for longer periods of time can make it a lot worse.

In the meantime, drink water and don't hold your pee if you have the urge. Cranberry juice WONT help if you already have a UTI. It can help prevent them but once you got a UTI it won't improve anything.
