Spotting ugh

After checking my cervix (I have been for af) I see I'm spotting but there's a very small drop of red and the rest is just light brown when usually my af spotting is light pink with brown but this was just brown and light red. I did have sex with my bf last night and it hurt a little which I didn't tell him. Could it be from sex? My cervix still feels closed btw and almost backwards it hasn't felt like that in the 2 months I tracked it after ovulation to af and I know it's not reliable for pregnancy signs bc it changes but does it change from cycle to cycle? It was the exact same the 2 months I tracked it. I'm CD 38 and 7 days late on af. Is this just af? I'm not even emotional like I normally am
