Rude remarks that are really getting on my nerves
I live about a hour away from my family. Today I saw my Mom for the first time in a couple of weeks. The first thing she said was, 'Wow, that pregnancy is really showing all over. I can see it all in your face. You look like you could have her now. I'm 27 weeks. At the time I just said 'well I am pregnant.' Now I can't stop thinking about how fkn rude that is to say to me. Like wtf?!
My Mom has had three pregnancies and one of those was with twins. She's has even shared stories with me of how she felt insecure about her body. I wasn't even in an insecure place but now I'm all in my feelings.
I heard my sister telling her friend at family dinner "she is so huge" I looked over at her and I said "I'm growing a human!" And she just laughed.
Am I being sensitive? Should I bring it to their attention that these are inappropriate remarks?
It really makes me not want to come around them for the rest of my pregnancy.
