Weird period advice or any experience?

So AF arrived 2 weeks and 5 days ago after taking 72 days to get to me! But last night I started bleeding just lightly but it was very dark and looked like clots and today has been the same but a little bit more than yesterday but it's coming away in big clots and what looks like to be bit of flesh? I'm not sure. It's normal for me to have very irregular periods and was told 2 years ago I had PCOS then told no I don't . I've had not symptoms of a period my tummy does not not hurt at all no cramps. Is this some weird way of my body trying to play catch up with it self or is it worth a trip to the Doctors? Any advice very welcome !
