Why is my period so late 😕

It's been almost 40 days since my last period 😕 I haven't had sex in 2 months, I'm not on bc, and there's nothing I've been doing differently. I'm really worried about what's going on and my doctor didn't have much to say when I said it was late... My periods are mostly regular and I've never missed one until now.
