Ultrasound tomorrow at 8 weeks 5 days, will it be transvaginal or abdominal?

It depends I believe they'll abdominal first than do transvaginal if they dont see anything.

It depends on the sonographer - if they're good at their job and not trying to rush people through they should try abdominal first then if they are unable to get a good view switch to vaginal.  I'm not thin and successfully had an abdominal ultrasound at 7 weeks.

My dr says it depends on your build... If you are thinner probably abdominal ... If you are a bit heavier probably vaginal

i was 10 weeks and my midwife didn't even do abdominal, just transvaginal

They will prob try abdominal first and then if they don't see anything do vaginal. My baby measured 8 weeks at my first ultrasound and it was done abdominal no problem.

My doctor didn't even try abdominal. It was transvaginal. The baby is super small and I don't believe the heartbeat can even be heard with a regular sonogram.

I was exactly 8w+5d too! It was transvaginal they didn't even try abdominal. But our little baby was moving and heard a strong heartbeat! :)

I was 10 weeks, 3 days and they tried abdominal.. It didn't work. But then again, my uterus was tipped.
