You will still get your period while on the pill however it should happen while you're on the placebo pills in the pack (they should be a different color than the rest). These pills don't have hormones in them which is why you get your period but since you've been on the hormones it should make your period less intense and maybe even shorter than before. If you don't want to get your period at all you do have the option of skipping the placebo week and simply starting a new pack when you run out of the actual pills in your pack. That does mean that you will have to get pills sooner than if you took the whole pack but it is an option the Dr should have told you about when you got the birth control😊
