My sister has had an epidural for 2/3 births and no issues. My friend had an epidural for both and occasionally has issues. I had a natural birth followed by an epidural birth and I've complained about sporadic back pain and stiffness at the site since day one 😰

I have had three epidurals for all three births and plan on having one this birth as well and i have never had back problems from them at all. With that said, there are always risks for all procedures. I would advise that you weigh all pros and cons and speak to your doc and research.  Good luck!

kind of. but it's like if I lay a certain way my lower back hurts some times. and I guess I've kinda always had that but after getting the epidural it kinda intensified it and I feel like it happens a little more often than it used to. that being said I don't regret my decision to get one. it was my first. hold so I went through 20 hours of labor without it. 13 hours with it. and the last 3 hours of me pushing it was pretty much all worn off. so I got to experience contractions, get rid of them, and still feel pushing. I think that I'm gonna get the epidural next pregnancy as well. and hopefully timed a bit better and not so weird of a labor

I've had an epidural and my back is not any more messed up than it is now.  I had knee surgery and they numbed my sciatic nerve and it's been messed ever since.  My epidural went great!
