Skipped period.

Sooo...i skipped my last period and freaked out because a few days later i was naseous all the time. I didnt eat full meals for weeks and my muscles were so sore. I thought i was pregnant but then learned it was a stomach flu. I took 3 pregnancy test and they were all negative. Is it possible to skip a period because of a stomach flu? I looked it up and saw people who related to my situation. Anyone know for sure?
