Moving out my parents home at 18?

My parents and family are depressing and I don't need negatives in my life. I want to move out but don't know how to confront my fear of them and I love them I just need my own happiness for a while. If they loved me they would understand. Should I write a letter so that I can be more comfortable?

Just say hey I found my own place and wanted to know if you guys wanted to see it that's what ima do or just say hey will you go with me to help me pick out a place

Make sure you plan ahead and do the math before announcing that you're moving out. Don't forget to have a little extra money for incidentals. A lot of people only have just enough money to pay their rent and bills each month and any unexpected issues can ruin them.

I moved out when I was 18. We have a better relationship because we don't live together. I would just talk to them in person instead of a letter. Writing can sometimes misconstrue intentions. It's probably for the best!
