Are you shaving (or having someone else shave for you) down there before going to the hospital?

This came up in a discussion with the coworkers. I was surprised how opinionated people were about this! What's your take?

I just attempted to clean things up the other day...well it looks like somebody took a weed whacker to my crotch lol. I give up. There are smooth patches and then crazy random spots of hair, razor bumps and I cut myself. I don't trust my SO to get down there with a razor, so I guess I'll be going au natural when I give birth 😅

I have always shaved and plan on keeping it that way. Although I can't see it anymore, I just feel lol

Been keeping up with Brazilian waxing throughout the pregnancy. It's helped me feel fresh and human/feminine when all other pregnancy symptoms make me want to crawl away in a hole! Hoping the hospital staff appreciates it...LOL?!?!

Nope. I won't be shaving because I don't want my post-delivery irritated, inflamed, painful vagina to be agitated more by prickles and regrowth. Not gonna happen. I know I won't be shaving swollen, painful ladybit for the first while after delivery as well, especially if I end up with stitches. I couldn't even wipe after my first, there's no way I'd be able to get down there with a razor when the hair starts growing back! So nope, not for me. Doctors have all seen worse anyway.

I got waxed. A week before. It's mostly because it's hot and I'm sweaty and chafing. And I can't imagine dealing with the mess after birth with so much hair. In the heat.

I just trim I have a razor that has a bikini trimmer in the other end u can use it wet or dry so while showering g I turn on the brink trimmer and just get as much as I can. So its not shaved but it's well kept and easy to do.

I trimmed this week (38) and will not be touching down there again until after recovery. Hair is important to keep germs and it bay and also who would want to have itchy sore razor burn while you are in labor or healing. A short trim and then leaving it be will be just fine for me. No long bloody hair to clean and no razor burn. Win win

I hadn't done anything for a few months.  I got so uncomfortable... The hair was knotting up.  I finally had my husband trim it up and it made me so much more comfortable.  I'm going to have him keep up with it for me, just for comfort.

Yes, not because I'm going to the hospital but because I always like it trimmed for myself. Hubby had to help me the last time though, how depressing when you're no longer able to trim your own hedge!
