My mother in law never had the cord cut when my husband was born. Also, shame on him for not growing a pair and disconnecting himself from her when he got married!

Mine cannot cut the umbilical cord to her son. She's constantly asking us to visit when she should expect us. She wants us to be there all the time and do things. She doesn't understand we need our space and she needs to back off a bit and to stop making plans for us everytime we visit. Sigh. She sweet but just over bearing.

Mine is pretty rotten. The day she met me (my husband and I had been dating for 6 months, friends for 5 years, and he had just finished graduate school), she called him afterwards and told him to get rid of me and that I wasn't allowed around him anymore. He told her he was moving in with me and she flew into a rage. She showed up at his apartment and started yelling at me, started taking all his stuff, saying that if he didn't do what she said then he couldn't have anything she paid for, and then she left and didn't speak to him for almost a year. She started talking to him again when she and his dad had a fight and he stayed with us. She used him to keep tabs on her husband. She didn't come to our wedding, and she's only met my son once. He's 13 months old. And the reason she hates me: I'm fat. (I was 148lbs when I met her but that's fat to a 95lb Korean woman.) 🤷 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Mine is a horrendous witch. We aren't even speaking to her because she basically tried to tell him 3 weeks after our wedding that I am so horrible and controlling his relationship with her and she won't stand for that. Basically if his world didn't revolve around her then she didn't want what time he could offer. Well that backfired and he hasn't spoken to her in over 2 months.

For the most part. She can be really cool but some of the shit she does to her kids is really fucked up.

I can't stand my MIL!! When my hubby and I first got engaged she took my mom to lunch and shared her concerns about us getting married, "he's very violent and has a bad temper, i'm worried he'll take it out on her." Which was total bs, 10yrs later and he's still never raised a hand to me. When our 1st was born I went into heart failure, she only showed up to take our son, because she was sure I wasn't going to live and my hubby was "incapable" of caring for our baby. When my husband refused to let her take our 4 day old child and she found out I would live both her and her mom stormed out of the hospital. When our son was 18mnths she plotted to kidnap him from a babysitters house, telling the sitter, "you volunteer to watch him, then I'll take him and they'll never know it was me." Thankfully, the sitter called us and filled us in on her plan. We now have to give my sons school pics of her and her new husband, have the school and teachers on stand by and there is only one spot at school he gets picked up and only 5 people on a lidt clearex to pick him up from school. Then as if that wasn't enough, my husband got into a verbal argument regarding all of this at her workplace, as soon as he left, she called our pastor making false claims of domestic violence against me and our son. Hoping she could gain custody of our son. My husband was a military police officer and reserve police officer at the time, it would have ruined his careers and our family if our pastor wouldn't have stepped in the way when he did. These are just some of the things. Needless to say we cut her off completely, she hasn't seen our oldest since he was 20mnths he is now almost 8yrs. She has never seen our youngest who is nearly 5yrs old and it will be the same with this baby. The only way she even sees pics is if it is from my brother in law.
