Zika virus??

So I heard that the Zika virus is in my county...I was told to use bug spray every time I go outside. Is there a safe bug spray for pregnant women?? Also if you have any ideas to keep from getting it please let me know!😭

Doctor suggested to wear bug spray with deet - not usually recommended but the risk of zika is much more severe than that of deet. Use the pump spray instead of the aerosol so you don't breathe in as much.

If you go out wear the deet but the cdc recommend that it's best to stay inside the air conditioning if you can and especially if in an infected area. Also keep clear of standing water. A small puddle can breed a lot of mosquitoes.

Keep your skin covered. You may get hot but it seems better then the alternative.
