What happens when you see a nutritionist

I am over weight, 16 and want to lose 60+ pounds but I am very nervous to go see my doctor as well as a nutritionist. Does anyone have tips or stories of their experiences? Thanks ladies!

A nutritionist will be a great source of knowledge for you! They will probably go over your goals, have you keep a food journal, and give you guidelines for what to eat/how much.

Medical doctors typically aren't trained on nutrition as thoroughly as they should be. 
They can definitely check your thyroid as well as your blood sugars to make sure your body is function properly. But if you're looking to lose weight, a nutritionist is the way to go.
