Echogenic bowel
Hi everyone I'm 21 years old, happily married, and this is my first pregnancy. I was never let know that going to doctors appointments are always so scary, but last week I had a follow up appointment because they had found an echogenic bowel earlier on along with excess skin on the back of the head. It wasn't much skin but it was more then they would've liked to see I guess. Anyways, they told me that it could be a sign of downs, but neither me nor my husband have any family history of it, and I heard it's more common with women who are over 35. Please if someone has gone through this and had their baby born perfectly okay, or if you know more about the issue please feel free to comment, I'm adding unnecessary stress to myself and my baby and I would like to have some peace of mind. I had an amnio and I'm awaiting the results (which take 2-3 weeks) I don't think I can keep waiting for that long. Have a great day everyone!
