VANDAZOLE METRONIDAZOLE VAGINAL GEL

So I have a bacterial infection (UTI) & I also believe bacterial vaginitis. My doctor prescribed me this medicine and I also asked the pharmacist if it's safe for pregnancy women. I've been googling online and some women report its not safe some say it's okay. But basically it hasn't been tested on pregnant women. Only pregnant animals and according to those studies, the animals babies were not affected by the medicine. But have any of you known of anything ? Should I take this? Idk why my doctor would prescribe it if it isn't safe ..
