Baby boy is born!! My birth story.

Carson Edward was born this morning 8/21/16 at 12:14 am. 6lbs 10oz 19.5 inches long! His original due date was September 6th. But due to gestational diabetes and preeclampsia I was induced at 37w3 on Friday August 19th. The dr started with a dose of cytotec to ripen my cervix around 7pm and after I got my second dose I began having contractions around 230 am on 8/20. I was then placed on Pitocen, was having a ton of contractions, but was later taken off of it due to a deceleration in Carsons heart rate. My dr decided to try a third dose of cytotec around 1030 am as I was only dilated to a two, but 70% effaced and at a -3 station. After the third dose I received an epidural and was checked again at around 9pm and was dilated to a 4, 90% effaced and at a -1 station. Then by 11pm I was at a 10, fully effaced and at a 1 station! By 11:15 I began pushing! After 31 hours in the hospital, 22 hours of labor, and one hour of pushing our sweet boy came into the world at gestational age of 37w5d. He however has been having difficulty keeping his oxygen at the right levels and has fluid still in his lungs, so he has been taken to the nicu to be monitored  and for treatment. We are so blessed with an otherwise healthy baby, but ask for prayers in that he makes a quick turn around and his lungs and oxygen get to working like they are supposed to! good luck to the rest of you September mommas and may you all have happy healthy and speedy deliveries!
