16 week ultrasound gender??

Question

I made an appointment for 16 weeks and 6 days on September 9th and the told me that I most likely won't have an ultrasound and that I will have to wait until 20 weeks to find out gender.. do you think if I end up having one on the 9th if I will be able to see the gender?

I had an ultrasound at 14 weeks 5 days with my second and I was able to find out the gender. Glad I made an appointment for a 3D-4d one cause I wouldn't have had one till I was 20 weeks I'm now 3 days shy of 6 months pregnant and she is still a girl..

You might be able to its harder for them to tell with a 2D scan at that many weeks my doctors making me wait tell almost 23 weeks before ours if you can afford a 3D/4D scan they can tell you at 16 plus weeks 100%
