How much are you pumping total at 5-6 weeks pp?

Breast feeding is so stressful! I'm getting 3.5oz total on average, but usually less throughout the day and I worry my supply is dwindling. I've tried fenugreek, beer and instant oatmeal once a day, but no sign of increase yet. Really hoping to get to BM exclusively at least for the first 6 months.

It depends what you hope to achieve with the pumping. I pump 2-3oz in one evening pumping session per day and bag it and freeze it so I have enough to cover someone babysitting every couple weeks or the occasional dad feed every few days

Surprisingly today I pumped 3.5oz. I usually pump .5-1oz a day. I did eat oatmeal yesterday so I'm hoping that helped. Will try again tomorrow.

I recommend switching from just fenugreek to taking the mother of milk tea. It has fenugreek and other stuff in it. I swear this tea works! And when I added oatmeal to it, I felt engorged all the time. I found that when I ate oatmeal by itself it didn't help much but together for some reason worked for me.

A lot of people report supply actually going down with fenugreek so be aware of that. Also, real oatmeal is supposed to work better than instant.

It really depends for me, I've pumped only 1oz in a session and the next day pumped 7oz. My lacticion recommended more fenugreek though, I take 2 pills with every meal (when I remember).
