My dad was forced to be in my life but after i graduated high school he took a more active role in my life its been 5 years ive been out now we finally have that father daughter still rocky relationship but i think it was more due to my mon being a controlling i dont want to say bitch but thats the only word that comes to mind love her to death though

Coming from a child who was rejected by her dad until he got sick, you really can't force someone to care for their child. You can only be the best parent you can be, and let your child come to terms with it.

Sometimes its worse for the kid to have a dad that doesnt want to be there but is forced to be there.. I personally wouldve rather never met my dad i would have been much better off

He SHOULD. The child is already here. It's a little human being. That's what a responsible, mature person does.

However, a lot of men who choose not to be apart of their child/children's lives are obviously not responsible or mature.

Men don't get a free pass. The minute they stick their member in a woman UNPROTECTED, they are responsible for the consequences. Right there, the CHOICE is literally in their hands. They have the all the power right then.

If they truly do not want a child, they need to wrap that shit up.

I'd say make sure he has contact information and let him go. My older brother's dad didn't want anything to do with him, my dad told the guy he'd forget all the unpaid child support if he'd sign the papers allowing him to adopt my brother. He even said that they could stay in touch if he wanted, my dad just wanted legal guardianship. Yep, never heard from him. 
If a guy wants to be a dad, let him. If he doesn't, let someone who wants the job take his place.

No, it'll make the child feel unloved and unwanted. It'll just be a toxic relationship and they'll end up resebting each other even more. Forcing relashionships never work.
