Ok, so i would like to know where to start here. Firstly, my so is 26 years old, and has been adopted as a baby. Unfortunately his adopted mother isnt really doing very well. She has minor health problems and does not leave her house very much, especially now thats its summer and its too hot for her (so she says). Either way he says she refuses to leave the house to help him get important documents like his birth certificate and such. My question is, what if she completely refuses to leave and not show up with him to recieve his birth certificate? Is there another way around him getting it without needing her? The law in new jersey is that you need your adoptive parent there apparently to purchase it. Is there another way around it? Please help. This is so important as an adult to have these and he needs it. Please help me.
